Depends on how I feel at the time. Sometimes I don't notice anything, except for how quickly they look away from me, which I guess indicates the level at which they want to engage, and maybe other things I'm not sure of without being in the situation right now.

One time I looked at some girl's eyes and I got the undoubtable impression that she was an amazingly *warm* person and would be a great person to know / interact with. Though at that time I was somewhere in the phases I go through when I don't take my medication, between becoming more spiritually aware and perceptive of people and becoming delusional, so it's hard to say.

Just yesterday during my birthday celebration I caught glimpses of people's eyes who were looking at me, and what I perceived was what *they* were perceiving of *my* energy, or more accurately, how their energy and mine interacted. Though there's a degree to which such perceptions are ... incomplete, so to understand those sorts of things you have to be able to see things on a spectrum from the known to the unknown, indeterminate/underdetermined, in-outer-space aspects of the situation. I guess this is for a few reasons:

- the limitations of what one understands about the psyche/spirit or interactions thereof
- the veils that we gladly sit behind in life, so that we don't tread on the sacred or on our future or so that we don't see right through the illusions that comprise the context of our experiences and make them possible
- the spectrum of truths from those that are structural enough to be amenable to modeling (even by the intuition/subconscious) and those that are way too holistic or non-structural to be assimilated
- the questions in our eyes and our existence or decisions that are up in the air that even the universe hasn't decided on yet, so they're indeterminate
- the fact that seeing what's in someone's eyes, if they're looking at you, may include seeing what they're seeing of you, which includes what you're seeing of them, and what you're seeing of them seeing of you, etc. to infinite regress, thus making it unresolvable, just like how it's impossible to fully know yourself (which also bears on the issue, logically).

it could be simpler than that, involving only, say, 1 or 2 of those things.
